Greetings Diefenbaker Families,
To all our new students and those who support them, welcome to JGD! To those returning we’re happy to welcome you back. As always, we continue to have high expectations for all those in our Diefenbaker community and pride ourselves on a warm, caring,
and respectful atmosphere for all. John G. Diefenbaker High School is best known for our strong focus on student success in academics at all levels and experiences, as well as an emphasis on student wellbeing in our inclusive learning environment. We are also well known for having amazing school spirit and pride; once a Dief Chiefs, always a Dief Chief. Students getting involved with our numerous teams and clubs help to create this incredible spirit and I strongly encourage all students to become an active member of our JGD community. As a way to support students transitioning to a new school year, we will be following our regular start (9:00 a.m) and end times (Th 3:30/F 12:45) on Thursday August 29, and Friday, August 30. Students will begin each day in their TA group ( homeroom) as well as in their structured timetable.

- All students attend school.
- Lifetouch will be on property to take mandatory photo lanyards (Grade 11 an 12)
- Modified Schedule.
Friday, August 30: Regular School Day – dismissal at 12:45 PM
