Support for Students at the CBE
Our students’ success is our top priority and we understand that our students live complex lives and that many factors both in school and outside of school can affect their ability to learn. The CBE offers a variety of services (such as Culture and Linguistic Support, Exceptional and Special Needs, and Psychological Services) to support students, their families and our school, so students can be successful learners.
Important Information for Course Change Requests
All course request changes will be done through an in person appointment (no phone calls or emails - counsellors will not be responding to/making changes to email requests).
Please go to Student Services beginning August 28th and sign up for your appointment time in the binder at the front desk. You need to complete the Course Change Request Form and bring to your appointment. Appointment times are first come, first serve. Missed appointments will not be rescheduled, only one appointment per student. It is your responsibility to ensure you come to Student Services for your appointment, we will not be disrupting classes to call students to Student Services.
Valid reasons for a course change request include - completing a summer school class, missing a required course or pre-requisite, not meeting specific graduation requirements.
Teacher or specific period change requests are not possible.
If a student has See Counsellor on their timetable, they will be called to Student Services starting September 2 to meet with a counsellor.
