JGD Chiefs Parent Association is looking for volunteers for our upcoming CASINO FUNDRAISER!
Dates: November 21st & 22nd, 2025
Location: Ace Casino - 40 Aero Crescent NE, Calgary, AB
This fundraiser is one of our major sources of funding to help the school pay for such things as sporting equipment, arts supplies, IB resources, computers, learning materials for all subjects, and so much more!
This volunteer opportunity is available to parents, guardians, siblings, friends and family of students at John G. Diefenbaker. Must be 18 years old. No volunteer clearance is required for this opportunity. There are a variety of roles to be filled, however, key roles (Banker, General Manager) to be filled by parents who are considered members of the charity.
NO Experience is required - training for all positions will be provided onsite by the Casino Advisors.
One meal per shift, and snacks/refreshments are provided.

One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council.
