Women & Girls in Jazz

These three women – Lauren T., Emily W. and Tahliza A. – participated in the Girls in Jazz Day on Saturday, January 28th, 2024 at Lord Beaverbrook High School. They participated in learning sessions around jazz playing on their instruments, improvisation and opportunities to play in a Jazz Combo. Congratulations to Lauren T. who also played Lead Alto in the inaugural Girls in Jazz Honour Jazz Ensemble, which was made up of female students from different high schools around the city as well as students from the university. An amazing day of learning and sharing for these three students who represented themselves and the school so well at the workshop and evening concert.

About Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
