Graduation
Thanks to all the accomplished candidates who applied to be our 2024 Valedictorian! It has been a rigorous process and we have met with some very impressive young adults! Congratulations to Yeabsera E. who has been named Valedictorian for this year’s graduating class!
Summer School registration begins soon! For CBe-Learn and Chinook Learning:
If you would like to sign up for a course this summer, please enter your information using this pre-registration link. The link will close on May 4th at 5pm. This indicates your request for a summer class. The actual registration will take place with your Counsellor when CBE opens their registration (May 6 for CBe-Learn/May 13 for Chinook Learning). You will not be able to register for CBe-Learn/Chinook Learning without completing the pre-registration link above.
Vista Virtual
Students can self-register for summer courses at Vista Virtual Online School starting May 1. You do not need to pre-register or see a counsellor to register. For more information, please visit www.vistavirtual.ca
Student Parking Lot
Please be aware that a visible parking pass is required for students to park in the student parking lot and can be purchased for $50 at the Business Office.
Artist Spotlight
Finn R. is a Grade 12 student of John G. Diefenbaker High School, currently in Advanced Drawing class. He practices in traditional, analogue art. Finn specializes in markers, coloured pencils and watercolour. He has been drawing for as long as he can remember and he is inspired by his surroundings, music and fashion. Through the characters in his compositions, Finn expresses his interests and emotions. Art is important to Finn because it helps him to express himself. In Grade 10, he was granted the top Art Student Award for his work. Finn is going to AU Arts next year to continue to pursue his interest in the Arts. He posts his creations through his TikTok account, so go check him out!
