Artist Spotlight

Artist Spotlight Dec 16

Ethan K. is a Grade 10 student who has always enjoyed helping his father in carpentry.  This is his first year taking a construction class, but he has done woodworking and welding before.  Ethan has helped build a patio and welded the grill for a barbeque, and in class so far has created a mallet and a wooden die.  Construction is currently his favourite class in school.  Both Ethan’s father and grandfather have worked in carpentry/mechanics, and he now shares this connection to them through these trades.  Ethan enjoys construction and loves working with his hands as a means to be creative.  In the future he plans on becoming a mechanic and already has a good understanding of the inner workings of a vehicle.
