Updates from IB

Congratulations to March’s Learner Profile contest winners: Aarna S. and Samiah M. Both have excelled in the IB Learner Profile traits of being Open-Minded and Principled.

Our focus for the month of April as we lead into IB Exams will be Knowledgeable and Thinker.

"Knowledgeable" students aim to develop a broad and balanced understanding across disciplines, explore issues of local and global significance, and applying knowledge in real-world contexts. A "Thinker" is someone who uses critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems, exercising initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions.

How have you demonstrated being KNOWLEDGEABLE and/or a THINKER this month? Enter to win FREE PIZZA by telling us how you or your friends have demonstrated the learner profile in April. Draw date will be April 18.

Exam Schedule Update

The IB exam schedule can be found linked here and posted on the school website. Start times and locations have been updated. Please note that the Math and Chemistry exams are scheduled on Non-Instructional days.

Help Save our JGD Yearbook Program!

We’re reaching out to our school community to let you know that the future of the yearbook program is at a crossroads. Due to low sales in recent years, we are considering whether to continue the program next year (2025-2026). However, your support this year can make a difference!

Purchasing a yearbook this year not only gives students a lasting keepsake of their memories but also helps ensure the yearbook program’s future. The more sales we have this year, the higher the chance we can continue the tradition of the yearbook for years to come.

Order your yearbook today by visiting Jostens Yearbook Purchase.

In addition, we need all parents to fill out the yearbook feedback survey to help guide our decision-making. Your insights and opinions are essential! Please take a few minutes to complete the survey here: Yearbook Feedback Survey.

Thank you for helping us preserve this special part of our school’s history.
